Maxxis’ line-up of sponsored riders is raring to go for X Games 16, scheduled for July 29 – August 1 in Los Angeles, California.
Team MCR/Maxxis rider Beau Baron took his third WORCS win of the year at Round 7, crossing the finish line more than a minute ahead of the next rider.
It was another winning weekend for Maxxis riders, as Geoff Kabush, Sabrina Jonnier and Catharine Pendrel won national championships on two continents.
Maxxis riders Josh Creamer and Dustin Wimmer were back on the podium at the Unadilla ATV MX, taking first and second place overall. The event was held July 17-18 in New Berlin, New York.
Riding Maxxis Courchevel tires, Tim O’Donnell took his second straight Boulder Peak Triathlon Championship. The race was held July 11 in Boulder, Colorado.
Two of Maxxis’ top sponsored riders teamed up to win overall mixed pairs at the BC Bike Race. Maxxis-Rocky Mountain’s Geoff Kabush and the Luna Pro Team’s Catharine Pendrel won the seven-stage race, held June 26 – July 3 in British Columbia, Canada.
Stronghold Racing’s Marty Hart rode his Maxxis Bighorns to the top of the LOORRS Pro Lite Unlimited podium at Round 8, held June 27 in Tooele, Utah. Brian Deegan, also on Bighorns, took second place.
Maxxis swept the men’s podium at the third round of the Pro GRT downhill, with a win for Greg Minnaar of Santa Cruz Syndicate, second place for Transition Racing’s Bryn Atkinson and third for Minnaar’s teammate Steve Peat. Transition’s Jill Kintner took the victory in women’s downhill.
For much of the Snowshoe GNCC motorcycle race, the field belonged to Maxxis rider Jesse Robinson. Robinson held a solid overall lead several times during the event, won the XC2 class and took second place overall for the day.
Maxxis-Rocky Mountain’s Geoff Kabush bested more than 1000 other riders to set a course record at the Test of Metal, held June 19 in Squamish, BC, Canada.
Webcor’s Amber Neven rode Maxxis to second place at the time trial for the USA Cycling National Championships, held June 25 in Bend, Oregon.
Maxxis-Rocky Mountain’s Sabrina Jonnier racked up another World Cup win with a downhill victory at Leogang, Austria. Teammate Cameron Cole took fifth place in men’s downhill at the event, held June 19-20.
Team Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki dominated the latest round of the ATV Pro Motocross Nationals, with a victory for Josh Creamer and third place for Dustin Wimmer. Round 7 was held June 20 in Blountville, Tennessee.
Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki racer Josh Creamer just can’t be stopped. Creamer took his fourth win of the ATV Motocross Nationals season at Round 6, held June 13 at Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, Minnesota.
